If you don’t fancy or aren’t able to carry out any physical tasks then please just pop by, say hello and have some cake with us.
Please do let us know if you can make it, by emailing clerk@sellackparishcouncil.gov.uk
If you are up for helping with some of the physical tasks, we will be focusing on the following:
- Tree health surveying – we will provide the clipboard and survey so this is just to help us better understand the health of the trees on site. No need to bring anything for this.
- Litterpicking – we will provide the picking tool, gloves and bags for this so no need to bring anything.
- Painting rails, benches and noticeboards
Please remember to bring:
- a flask of tea! We will be providing some lovely cake but we all know cake goes best with a brew!
- sturdy footwear – the picnic site is uneven in places and due to the work being carried out, sturdy footwear is highly recommended.
- heavy duty gloves – if you are carrying out any work requiring tools, please remember your gloves (although we do have a few spares, if needed)
Important – please note there are no bathroom facilities at the picnic site. Also, parking is limited so if you do live close by and don’t mind a short walk then please do consider that. There are some spaces though (especially for those bringing tools) and we will be keeping a space free for anyone who has mobility issues. Please let me know in advance if you’d like me to keep a space free for you and I will do my best.
Finally – who knows what Mother Nature has planned for us. If we do have a downpour then we will be rescheduling the day. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but will be back in touch as soon as possible with a new date, if necessary.
We hope to see you there!
