MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING HELD ON
WEDNESDAY 26th MAY 2021 AT 7.30pm IN THE VILLAGE HALL

2. MINUTES OF THE LAST ANNUAL PARISH MEETING.
The minutes of the last meeting held on Wednesday 8th May 2019 were read, agreed and signed as correct.
3. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT.
For over a year now everyone has had to adjust to living with the Covid pandemic. It is still out there, but we have turned the corner with the success of various vaccines. Normality is returning gradually, and like everything that’s been affected, Sellack Parish Council has continued to work as best it can during the pandemic.
There have been various items on the agenda throughout the year, some of which are still on going.
In July 2020, the Council were pleased to co-opt two new members to the Council, Nicholas Washington and Paul Franklin.
I would like to thank all of my Co-Councillors, Cllr Robinson, Cllr Aitken, Cllr Washington and Cllr Franklin for all their time and contribution to the Council during the past year. I feel we have a good team that can work together to deal with the different issues that affect Sellack Parish.
Many thanks to Cllr Robinson, the Parish Footpath Officer, for walking all the footpaths and organising the maintenance accordingly.
The Parish Council have been fortunate to receive a Drainage Grant from Herefordshire Council to help deal with some of the flooding issues in the Parish. This has been an on going project over the past few months and will continue into the summer months.
In March, the Council received a letter of resignation from the Clerk. This was accepted by the Council and the search for a replacement was put in motion with HALC. I would like to thank our Clerk, Kate Hughes, for all her hard work involved in the administration and organisation of Sellack Parish Council. Kate has been a great asset and will be greatly missed. On behalf of us all, I wish Kate and her family the very best for the future.
I would like to thank our Ward Councillor, Cllr Elissa Swinglehurst and Locality Steward, James Howell, for their help and support. Also a big thanks to the Lengthsman, Terry Griffiths, and his team for all the maintenance and drainage grant work they have carried out.
4. OPEN DISCUSSION.
Nothing was discussed. There being no further business the Chairman closed the meeting at 7.40pm.
